Director, Key Ledgers · FCCA · CPR Pt.35 · Registered Auditor
Bharat Varsani is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with over 20 years of experience in financial analysis, audit and forensic accounting. He founded Key Ledgers to provide independent, court-ready expert evidence to solicitors, barristers and courts across England and Wales.
Every instruction is handled personally at director level. There are no junior handoffs, no shared teams and no passing your matter between departments. Clients receive the same senior-level attention on every instruction, from initial enquiry through to report delivery and, where required, court attendance.
Key Ledgers is a forensic accounting and expert witness firm providing independent financial analysis in legal, regulatory and commercial contexts.
The firm is led by Bharat Varsani FCCA, a Chartered Certified Accountant and Registered Auditor with over 20 years of experience across forensic accounting, expert witness work and audit.
Our work sits at the intersection of accounting, audit and forensic investigation. Financial information must do more than exist — it must be examined, understood and explained. We are instructed in matters involving disputes, loss quantification, investigations, valuation, audit and expert reporting, often where the financial issues are complex and the consequences significant.
We act independently and do not adopt an advocacy role. Our responsibility is to provide objective, evidence-based analysis that can assist the Court, instructing solicitors and other professional advisers. Each assignment is approached with professional scepticism, structured reasoning and a clear understanding that the work may be challenged and tested.
We aim to build a practice that is relied upon by solicitors, barristers, businesses and individuals when financial matters are contested, complex or consequential. Our focus is not on volume. It is on the quality of thought, the strength of methodology and the confidence that our work can be examined and defended.
In a field where financial evidence can influence significant legal and commercial outcomes, our vision is to provide work that is consistently measured, credible and capable of standing up in the most demanding environments.
We do this through forensic accounting, expert witness reporting and audit work grounded in professional judgement, technical rigour and clear communication. Every assignment is approached with an understanding that it may be reviewed by legal representatives, challenged by opposing experts or relied upon by the Court.
Our objective is not simply to produce reports. It is to produce work that is clear, reasoned and dependable — work that assists those instructing us and stands up to scrutiny.
These are not statements included for presentation. They are standards applied in practice — from initial instruction through to analysis, reporting and, where required, expert engagement in proceedings.
